The holidays in La Crosse just got a little more magical. Following the success of their 125th Anniversary Season, the La Crosse Symphony Orchestra (LSO) is bringing back the big choral power that wowed audiences last year. On December 20, 2025, the LSO will feature a special Symphony Chorus in collaboration with the UWL Choral Union and guest soloist Emily Birsan for a festive performance of Poulenc’s Gloria.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • 🌟 The performance takes place Saturday, December 20, 2025 in La Crosse.

  • 🎶 The chorus is directed by Dr. James Wilson and Dr. Chris Hathaway, joining forces with the UWL Choral Union.

  • 👩‍🎤 Emily Birsan, soprano, returns as a featured soloist.

  • 🏛️ This concert continues the LSO’s long tradition of celebrating community, education, and world-class music.

  • 🎟️ Community members can sign up to join the chorus until the end of October.

The LSO has been a cultural cornerstone since 1898, and this year’s holiday performance promises to be one of the standout events of the season.
