Here’s what I was listening to when I wrote this email.👇

Today’s prompt:

Handwrite a note ✍️
Take five minutes to write a short, kind note to someone in your life—a neighbor, coworker, or family member. It doesn’t have to be long; just a simple “I appreciate you” can mean the world.

A handwritten note stands out in a world of texts and emails—it feels personal, thoughtful, and lasting.

🦉 In The Community: International Owl Center

Just a short drive from La Crosse, you’ll find something truly one-of-a-kind: the International Owl Center in Houston, MN—the only all-owl education center in the United States.

Visitors can:

  • Meet 4–5 live owls up close 🦉

  • Touch wings and tails from species around the world

  • See children’s owl art collected globally

  • Join a scavenger hunt or catch one of their engaging live owl programs

The gift shop is full of unique owl-inspired items (many made locally), and admission isn’t required to browse.

Right now, the Owl Center is working on an exciting expansion: they’ve purchased 4.5 acres on the edge of town and are raising funds to build a larger facility that can house up to 28 owls while serving visitors and the community even better.
