A Hero Remembered
This Memorial Day, we're reflecting on a powerful local story that reminds us what this day is truly about. In 2019, after 77 years, La Crosse native George Nagel—killed in action during World War II—was finally laid to rest at home thanks to DNA testing and the unwavering love of his family.
