This week’s inside scoop: let’s talk outdoor adventures 🌿

Hey, friend! Let’s set the scene: sunshine spilling through the trees, a soft breeze playing with your hair, and that unmistakable smell of fresh air that just hits different when you’re in the great outdoors. Ahh, bliss. The Coulee Region has no shortage of natural beauty, and we’re curious... what’s your go-to free outdoor activity around here? Let us know »

🤝 Help Me Get the Word Out!

Hey there, neighbors! Let’s talk about something near and dear to our community’s heart—the LaCrosse Auxiliary. Since 1952, this group has been on a mission to bring people together through events, fundraising, and good ol’ volunteering to make a real difference right here at home. Officially chartered by the American Hospital Association in 1953, it all started with 105 women rolling up their sleeves and laying the foundation for a legacy of service that’s still going strong today. 🌟

Fast forward to 45 years ago, when members saw a big need: supporting students on the path to becoming nurses. And let’s be honest, nurses are the heartbeat of our healthcare system. They’re the glue that keeps us all together, blending art, science, compassion, and smarts in a way that touches every corner of our community.

That’s why they launched The Flower Boutique—to help fund nursing scholarships at Viterbo University and Western Technical College. Over the years, this effort has truly blossomed! 🌸 Here’s a quick peek at the impact:

  • 2024: 9 scholarships awarded

  • 2023: 11 scholarships awarded

  • 2022: 10 scholarships awarded

  • 2021: 4 scholarships awarded

In 44 years, they’ve awarded $381,980 in scholarships! How amazing is that? Every dollar raised helps aspiring nurses chase their dreams and work toward making LaCrosse an even healthier, happier place.

Now, here’s the exciting part: 2025 marks the 45th annual Flower Boutique sale! 🎉 Mark your calendars:

  1. Online sale starts: April 1

  2. Onsite sale & presale pickup: Wednesday, April 30, and Thursday, May 1

  3. Location: The garage at 11th and Ferry streets in La Crosse

Let’s make this year’s sale the best one yet! Whether you’re snagging a bouquet, volunteering to help, or spreading the word, you’re part of something special.
