☀️🏡 Good Monday Morning, Coulee
March 3, 2025

Welcome to March, neighbors. Thank you for tuning in today. ☀️
Today on Good Morning, Coulee:
🏡 We’ll talk about a local organization doing fantastic work for our community
🍽 #ThatLooksGood (again, because I have a correction, oops)
❤️ Thanks for supporting the Coulee Crew Card
Let’s give this day a jump start. ⚡️👇

👋 Introducing….myself (again)
Some of you GM Coulee veterans have likely heard this 3 or 4 times by now, but we are growing fast and I want to make sure that everyone gets a proper introduction.
My name is Caleb. I live in La Crescent with my wife and 2 children. I am the author and owner of Good Morning, Coulee. I started this newsletter because I believe that being neighborly is important. There’s a lot going on right now—and the most important thing that we can do is be kind to those around us. We all have different views, life experiences, opinions, and biases.
It would be no bad thing if, for a few minutes each day, we reflect on that fact and consciously place value on kindness, empathy, and the general goodness that each person is capable of.
The interactions that truly matter and actually shape the world around us happen between neighbors & friends.
That’s why I spread good news, promote our local businesses, and place high priority on positivity. It’s very easy to get caught up in things happening on a screen instead of the people around us on a daily basis. I’m very happy that you’re here, neighbor. Thank you for reading and being here.

🤝 Join the Crew
On Friday, we launched the Coulee Crew Card. Thank you to all of you that purchased one! Your purchase helps to support Good Morning, Coulee, our local restaurants, and a great cause (New Leash on Life).

💬 Today’s Thought
“To hold our tongues when everyone is gossiping, to smile without hostility at people and institutions, to compensate for the shortage of love in the world with more love in small, private matters; to be more faithful in our work, to show greater patience, to forgo the cheap revenge obtainable from mockery and criticism: all these are things we can do.”

🌤 Weather

I’m ready to declare it—Spring is here. (And I don’t just declare things willy-nilly). Have you been standing at your patio door, looking out at your deck, and whispering “soon.”? Well I have, and it’s not weird—at all—that I’ve been doing that.
If you’re gearing up for good vibes this Spring, but your deck is not fitting in…..

….then it might be time to give La Crosse Painters a call. La Crosse Painters is gearing up to help dozens of homeowners this summer. Here’s what they can achieve in just one day….

📲 So, go ahead and give the La Crosse Painters team a call. And if you do—mention GM Coulee for 10% off. Call today or request a quote here »

🏡 In the Community: theExchange

Today, I’m happy to highlight a great feature of our community: theExchange Furniture Bank:
theExchange La Crosse Area Furniture Bank provides basic home items like beds, dressers, tables and kitchen items to members of our community experiencing hardships such as recent homelessness, domestic violence and aging and disability. theExchange provides household items, at no charge to recipients, thanks to the generosity of the community who donate furniture, volunteer hours and financial resources to support our mission.
In addition to serving more than 500 households in 2024, theExchange also serves as a point of reuse for our community. In 2024 theExchange received and distributed more than 75 tons of household items, which may otherwise have been destined for local landfills.
Put your generosity into action today! theExchange is seeking gently used household items for those in need and looking to grow our team of dedicated volunteers!

🍽 #ThatLooksGood by The Waterfront
On Friday, I incorrectly attributed this delicious dessert to The Charmant! I’m sorry about that—but I’m not sorry about letting you get another look at this masterpiece. 😋 This very popular Peanut Butter Chocolate Mousse Cake is available at The Waterfront.
