🏡 In The Community: First Teen Clothes Closet
Hey friends! 👋 Have you heard about the awesome work happening at First Lutheran? Today, we're shining a light on something truly special: the First Teen Clothes Closet! 🏫👚👖 This initiative is all about teens helping teens, and it's full of heart, kindness, and community spirit.
Why are we sharing this? Because it's a wonderful example of how small, thoughtful actions can make a BIG difference in our community! Not only does this project provide much-needed clothing to local teens, but it also teaches valuable life lessons about giving, compassion, and teamwork. 🙌✨ Let’s dive into what makes this initiative so unique!
Teens Helping Teens 🤝
The First Teen Clothes Closet is run by middle school and high school youth at First Lutheran! That’s right—TEENS are at the center of this project. They accept clothing donations, sort and organize them, and make sure that the items are ready to find new homes with teens in need.
Adult Volunteers Lending a Hand 🧡
While the teens are the driving force, they’re not in it alone! Caring adult volunteers are on hand to provide support and guidance. These adults also step in to help parents and youth who come to the closet looking for items. 🛍️
YOU Can Help Too! 🫶
Do you have gently used TEEN clothing that's just sitting in your closet? The Clothes Closet is always accepting donations! Simply drop off your items in the bins located at First Lutheran’s main entrance. 🛒👕
The First Teen Clothes Closet is a shining example of what makes our community so wonderful: people working together, sharing what they have, and lifting each other up. So, let’s celebrate these amazing teens, supportive adults, and all the donors who make it happen. And if you’re inspired, why not join in? Whether it’s dropping off clothes or simply spreading the word, every little bit helps.
👏 A huge THANK YOU to the First Lutheran youth and volunteers for making this world a little brighter, one piece of clothing at a time!
