Residents of Trempealeau, Vernon, and La Crosse Counties, including college students, are specially invited to visit the International Owl Center for FREE during Wisconsin Neighbor Weekend. The Owl Center is located in Houston, Minnesota, just 30 minutes west of La Crosse.
Come see live owls in person, check out our hands-on displays, and stay for our live programs each day.
Please bring a driver license, student ID or other form of identification to verify your place of residence. Visitors from elsewhere are also welcome, but will be required to pay the regular admission fee of $9 for adults, $8 for seniors/veterans/military and $6 for children aged 4-17.

Come to the quintessential whodunnit thriller and get thrown into a night of mystery, intrigue, and murder you will never forget. With a killer crowd of people just waiting for murder to arrive on the scene, this night will keep everyone looking over their shoulders and guessing who the next victim will be! Bribe suspects for clues and gather information to uncover the unhinged guest who is whacking all the invitees. Just be careful, because you could be next! Dress your best in evening wear—this is a refined party, after all. Old Hollywood evening wear is highly encouraged but not required.

🎤 UWL Music Honors Recital @ Truman T. Lowe Center for the Arts, Annett Recital Hall // Sunday, 2pm-3pm
UWL Music Honors Recital
UW-La Crosse’s Music Department presents its annual Honors Recital, featuring performances from student musicians on Sunday, February 16 in Annett Recital Hall, Lowe Center for the Arts. The recital will be followed by a reception. Admission is free and open to the public.
Every year, students are selected through a competitive juried process to perform at the annual Honors Recital as a way of recognizing students for their achievements in music. The department will also recognize the 2025 recipients of the Thomas Annett Outstanding Senior in Music Award.
A reception will immediately follow the recital. Both recital and reception are free and open to the public, and no reservations are required.
When: 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025
Where: Truman T. Lowe Center for the Arts, Annett Recital Hall
