🐾 Adoptable Pet of the Week: Dalton

If you’re looking for a dog who radiates pure sweetness, say hello to Dalton — a 12-year-old black lab with a heart as big as the Coulee Region itself.

Despite his age, Dalton has plenty of pep in his step. He’s the kind of old soul who will happily roll over for belly rubs, trot politely on a leash, and soak up every bit of affection you send his way. Staff and volunteers describe him as “the sweetest old man ever” — loving, smart, and endlessly affectionate.

Dalton is housetrained, great with people (including children), and does well with other dogs given proper introductions. His friends at CRHS aren’t quite sure how he’d do with cats, but they’re confident he’d charm just about anyone who gives him a chance.

His favorite pastime? Sprawling out on the floor next to his favorite humans and soaking up all the pets. He’s not big on toys — he’d rather watch you play with them — but he is big on companionship. Dalton also needs to lose a little weight, but honestly… same, buddy. Same.

If you’ve got room in your home (and your heart) for a gentle, loyal senior who’s still got plenty of love to give, Dalton might just be your perfect match. 💛
