☀️📸 Good Tuesday Morning, Coulee!

December 10, 2024

Happy Tuesday, friends. What an amazing, warm day it was yesterday. Though I am sad that we seem to have run out of uncharacteristically warm days, I am happy to be here with you this morning.

I have lots for you today!

I’m ready. Are you? 👇

This week, we have some great images from last Tuesday’s beautiful sunset.

These amazing photos were captured by Lisa Richardson Morgan. She does not have a photography business to promote, but she does have a great cause to raise awareness for!

“I am very actively involved with and a regional board member for Canine Companions. They are the oldest and largest organization to train service dogs for people with disabilities and started the service dog industry in 1975. I’ve been involved over the years in many capacities and currently I’m a committee member, board member and facility dog handler for one of the facility dogs at Mayo Clinic here in lacrosse. Canine Companions trains their service dogs in over 45 commands and provides them free of charge. Their mission is to continue to provide these life-changing service dogs free of charge. The dog I handle at Mayo utilizes these 45 skills and is engaged in patient treatment in many different parts of our hospital and clinic.”

🤝 Neighbors Helping Neighbors

One of the things that I hope to accomplish with this newsletter is the building of a community of people who care about their neighbors.

Here is a way that you can make a real impact, all by clicking a few buttons on your screen.

WAFER Food Pantry has been selected to participate in Thrivent’s Carol for a Cause. This means that your vote could help them receive $15,000 in community grants from the Thrivent Member Network. Voting is open from Dec 8-14 and they ask that you share this with your friends and network to maximize impact!

You can see a very high-effort video that they created to accompany their ask for support here. (worth the vote alone, the 5 pounds of beef part of this video is elite iykyk. also wondering how many takes this took?)

If you are not familiar with the WAFER Food Pantry and its impact in the community, read their About page and annual report here.
