Hello 👋
Thank you for being with me for another Friday. It’s cold, but the forecast says ☀️. So we’ll call that a win.
Alright, people. Have a seat, start the music, and let’s dive in.

Settle in. Let me tell you the story of this weekend in the Coulee Region.
🧹 Lit and Pitch Decluttering Book Club [Online Course]
Hello friends—one of our readers has read all of our minds, and yes—we do have too much stuff laying around our house. Thanks Mom, for getting the kids a toy with 1000 plastic components.
That’s why she is hosting a month-long decluttering session conducted via Facebook and Zoom to help you finally let go of that white elephant gift from 2011. Plus, she’s a total pro. She can help facilitate your decluttering process in a way that will be productive, not regretful.
The club is hosted by Simply Thriving—a locally-owned organization consultant. You can register here (cost is $35, but use coupon code GMCOULEE for $5 OFF). Coupon code valid through Sunday 1/5.
🚚 (yeah i know it’s not a snowplow—but there’s no snowplow emoji….so whatever) Snowplow Storytime! @ Houston MN Public Library // Saturday, 10am
If your kid is as obsessed with snowplows as mine is (who can blame them, they are undeniably cool), consider heading over to Houston for the morning to participate in their Snowplow Storytime, which has books and crafts centered around snowplows.
🦊 Storytime: Furry Friends @ Trempealeau Library // TODAY, 10am
But if they prefer animals (also cool), maybe you head over to Trempealeau Library this morning for a Furry Friends Storytime with books and rhymes featuring their favorite wildlife. Or—you do both cause, you know, they’re on different days. The Kids are absolutely dominating this segment today. Let them have their moment.
🍺 (feels like I’m using the beer emoji quite a lot lately) Trivia Night @ Daily Brew Co. // TODAY, 7pm
Looking for some after work plans? Assuming you aren’t still recovering from NYE, head over to Daily Brew Co. in Westby. They have trivia, they have giant pretzels, they have loaded Mac n Cheese, you could win money….do I need to keep going? $10 to enter. Teams of 1-6 people.
🛷 Tubing @ Whitetail Ridge // Saturday, 10am
The Kids are undefeated today. Next time I’m cc’ing them. Anyways, Boy Scouts of America is hosting a tubing sesh at Whitetail Ridge this Saturday. Registration is $22/person and tubes are provided. They have 5 runs, an 800’ long slope, and hopefully a rock-solid waiver of liability?
When you’re all done tubing, head into the Chalet & Ten Point Pub to get food and drinks. There’s a magic carpet there for anyone who would like to not walk up an 800’ slope 30 times on a Saturday morning 🖐.
🍦 Ice Cream & Bluey @ David’s Ice Cream // Jan 25, 2pm
I mean, ice cream and a Bluey meet-and-greet. That’s the tweet.
BUT—register now because I think this one is going to get filled fast. Just a feeling. Info below.

🖌 Artspire Pop-Up Market @ Pump House Regional Arts Center // TODAY, 4pm-7pm
Rediscover Artspire artists at our pop-up art market!
On select First Friday Downtown Art Walk evenings, the Pump House will host a number of artists in our galleries. Friday, January 3, 2025, 4-7 pm Featured Artists: Darcy Skibba & Philip Waletzko
What to Expect: Free to attend. Each artist will have a table set up in one of our galleries with their sale items. Artists will be present. 100% of sales will go directly to the artists. Come enjoy a mini Artspire Art Fair and support our artists!
Are you an venue, event, bar, or restaurant owner, manager, or organizer? Don’t be shy. Let’s get to know each other! If you have an event that our readers would love, email me!

🌤 Weather

Basically, cold. 🥶

Question…Do You Enjoy this Newsletter?
If you do, please consider sharing it with friends, family, or other community members. Do that 3 times—and I’ll shout out your birthday!
The first milestone in our referral program is a birthday shoutout—pretty sweet, right? Play your cards right and there might be a bumper sticker in it for you somewhere down the line. 😉
