☀️📸 Good Tuesday Morning, Coulee
January 14, 2025

Good Morning, Neighbors ☀️
It’s a cold one out there—so let’s get your day started right.
Objects in motion, and all that.
I’m here, you’re here—let’s get caught up on all things Coulee, shall we?
Let’s grab this day by the horns. Take hold.👇

🎶 Song of the Day
Come and vibe with me.👇
*If you want to listen along as you read, scroll to the top right of this email and click “Read Online”.
It was recently suggested that we make the Songs of the Day available via a Playlist. I think this is a great idea. But—I need to know where to put it. What service do you prefer?:
What music service is most easily accessible to you? This is where I'll put the playlist. |

💬 Today’s Thought
“Each morning, we are born again. What we do today matters most.”

📸 Featured Image
Longtime readers—you know the drill. But for our new subscribers (and there are quite a few of you out there!)—here’s what we do on Tuesdays. We feature a local photographer that has taken an amazing image of something in the Coulee Region. If you would like to be featured, send your submission to: [email protected]
Okay—here we go. 📸👇

📸 Jason Ray Photography
This one comes to us from Jason Ray Photography. Here’s what Jason has to say about this photo:
I've always loved this view of Grandad Bluff from the marsh trails, but photographing it from this angle never really showcases the beauty. On this particular day, it had just got done raining and the sun was about an hour away from setting. As it was setting the clouds were parting, illuminating parts for the bluffs and trees. This image is full of drama and love the color balance in this one. During this time of the year, it can get pretty dry and overgrown, but the rainfall helps to bring the landscape to life while also adding the needed punch of saturation.
Jason does really incredible work capturing the beauty of the Coulee Region. He has prints available—and is a great follow on Facebook.

🐶🐱 [New Segment] Pet of the Week Submissions
Your opinion has been heard. Many of you resoundingly voted for Pet of the Week to be the new segment. I love it.
But—now you’re gonna have to hold up your end of the bargain. I’ve got the first week covered—my chunky cat Luna has called dibs. But after that, I’m counting on you.
And here’s an added bonus of fluffy happiness: Pet of the Week has a very important job. They are going to help introduce our Adoptable Pet of the Week every week so we can raise awareness for some of our local long-term shelter residents.
So, tune in Wednesday for Pet of the Week (Luna will be there, and she will be chonky).
Until then—send me a picture of your pet and your pet’s name, and I will add them to the list to help us find homes for our region’s shelter population.
