The La Crosse Area Writer's Group meets to connect, share and critique the work of area writers in a positive, supportive and honest environment. Bring one copy of your work, and we'll pass it around the table and discuss each piece!

There is a private meeting room, but it's first come and first serve. If we miss it, we'll meet by at the fireplace. If the Library in Onalaska, WI is closed for some reason, we'll meet at Panera Bread as our backup location.

Meet at the Onalaska library at 9 am with one printed copy of your work, with a word count max of 2500 words. You can bring a shorter piece. All writing is welcome.

Onalaska Student Publishes Her Own Children’s Book About Sustainability

Onalaska High Junior Aditi Muduganti wanted to teach elementary students about the importance of sustainability. How you ask? By writing, illustrating, and publishing her own children's book! 🤯 Thanks to a grant through the La Crosse Youth Climate Action Fund, Aditi was able to create and print copies of her story, "Tech Tales," to teach kids on the important role they can play in the environment.
